������˾�� Celebrates Community College Month with 1-Day Crowdfunding Campaign

AVONDALE, ARIZONA, April 26 – ������˾�� (������˾��) is celebrating Community College Month with “,” a one-day crowdfunding campaign, on April 29. The goal is to raise $5,000 for ������˾��’s general scholarship fund, which helps its students with tuition, books, and emergency assistance.

“The state already does a nonprofit day of giving but we wanted to pursue our own effort, similar to what other higher educational institutions do,” said Jonathan Robles, ������˾��’s Director of Alumni, Corporate & Foundation Relations. “We have learned that Dallas Community College District has raised $1 million in their Day of Giving.”

������˾�� is one of the ten colleges in the Maricopa County Community College District, one of the largest community college districts in the nation. ������˾�� offers academic courses leading to associate degrees, university transfer, certificates, and short-term job training to more than 14,000 students annually. The flagship campus is located on Thomas and Dysart roads in Avondale. Classes are also offered online and at the ������˾�� @ West-MEC Southwest Campus at 500 N. Verrado Way, Buckeye.
